Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the offer through UNA only, with 2 maximum attempts; failure after 2 attempts results in DNU for CSH AZ and CSH Sacramento for 6 months. Pass/fail Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation; failure results in being sent home and DNU for 6 months.

Preferred Skills/Experience: EP experience is a plus and would be wonderful, but not required; clinicians without prior EP experience would not work in the EP room. Scrub experience is welcomed but not required.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot have worked in any CSH facility for the past 12 months as a permanent staff employee, including staff PRN and seasonal staff. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: One room is mostly EP and the other is a fully interventional lab. No structural heart cases and no open heart at Mercy; lesser acute interventions only. Some peripheral procedures are performed, but no standard IR-type procedures. All RNs must sedate. Uses Mac-Lab. Regular cases use a 3-person team (1 RN, 2 techs); STEMIs and call use a 4-person team (2 RNs, 2 techs).

Shift & Scheduling: On-call is generally 1 night per week, sometimes 2 depending on staffing and need. Weekend call is approximately 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks, from Friday 1830 to Monday 0600. Holiday call is 24 hours with 1 four-person team. 30-minute call response time.

Floating Requirements: Possibly float to Chandler Regional. ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established; however, this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians are aware of what location they'll be reporting to.
