Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our diverse healthcare teams across all units, providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care, performing assessments, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will support patients across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, emergency departments, and specialty units such as ICU, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories using advanced medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic technique and medication administration protocols.
  • Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, or critical care situations such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center scenarios.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment including ventilators, IV infusion devices, catheters, and laboratory testing tools; perform specimen collection and processing with precision.
  • Document all patient interactions meticulously within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, discharge instructions, nutrition, and health coaching tailored to individual needs including geriatrics or pediatric populations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, or hospice & palliative medicine to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; proficient in ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and CPT coding for accurate documentation.
  • Strong background in various specialties including emergency medicine, medical-surgical nursing, ICU/trauma nursing (Level I & II trauma centers), pediatric care (PICU), neonatal ventilator management, and behavioral health.
  • Skilled in advanced procedures such as suturing, ostomy care, gastric lavage, spinal tap, and dermal fillers; capable of performing aseptic techniques during invasive procedures.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and infectious disease protocols; experienced in triage and urgent care environments.
  • Familiarity with long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living; experienced in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, airway management including ventilator support, venipuncture (phlebotomy), IV insertion/infusion therapy, and catheterization procedures.
  • Understanding of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases; capable of handling complex discharge planning and post-acute care coordination.
