RN – Cardiovascular Stepdown

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Pay Rate: $52 – $55 per hour

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit. The RN will provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care to cardiac and post-surgical patients in a fast-paced progressive care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition

• Administer and titrate IV medications per protocols

• Provide care for post-cardiothoracic and interventional cardiology patients

• Assist with procedures including cardioversions and conscious sedation

• Perform specialty skills such as chest tube removal, arterial line removal, and external pacing

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Adhere to nursing standards, hospital policies, and state regulations

Unit Details

• 32-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit

• Patient population includes LVAD, valve replacements, post-STEMI, and surgical cardiac patients

• ACLS and ECG competency required

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact License

• BLS & ACLS (AHA required)

• Experience in Cardiovascular Stepdown, PCU, or ICU preferred

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work nights and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Diploma in Nursing (Required)

• BSN (Preferred)
