Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, direct patient care in the Cath Lab using evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate relevant information to the appropriate team members, providers, and family members.
  • Maintain patient safety while minimizing risk of medical errors in a fast-paced setting.
  • Provide education to patients and families tailored to their needs, cultural background, and health conditions.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
  • Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being, respecting their rights and dignity.
  • Supervise and delegate responsibilities to other nursing and support staff as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or eligible compact state.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Willingness and availability to take on-call shifts as required.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining compassionate care standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Previous experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or similar critical care setting.
