The RN will provide clinical support to providers in the Medical Oncology Clinic at Monticello. Responsibilities include medication administration/ infusion to oncology and hematology patients, patient assessment, antineoplastic validation, patient education, side effect management, chemotherapy orders and validation, chemotherapy teaching, and more. Many responsibilities include working with physicians, dietitians, social workers, pharmacists, and others. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Maintains professional competencies by obtaining/maintaining the Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider certification, attending educational programs, participates in professional organizations, subscribing to the reading professional journals or other appropriate activities.
