Registered Nurse – Med/Surg

Description:

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a permanent opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri.

This Medical Surgical Registered Nurse role provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurologic conditions. The unit supports general, urology, and vascular post-surgical patients in a higher-acuity Med/Surg environment within a Level I Trauma setting caring for stable patients.

Registered Nurses in this role have the opportunity to expand their clinical skillset, including patient monitoring, while working with sicker-than-average Med/Surg patients in a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on excellence in care delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments following standards of care and disease-specific protocols

Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans to optimize outcomes

Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed staff within RN scope of practice

Deliver patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances

Provide emotional support and integrate patient and family teaching into all aspects of care

COMPENSATION:

Hourly Pay Range (based on years of experience):

$30.04 – $41.50 per hour

Shift Differentials:

$4.00 per hour for nights

$4.00 per hour for weekends

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required (does not need to be recent).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or BSN.
• Active RN license in the state of practice or valid multistate compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
