Riley Children's Fetal Center is Indiana’s premier facility dedicated to specialized fetal care, fetal interventions, and complex pregnancy management. Recognized as a leader in fetal medicine, our multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies, fetal anomalies, and in-utero interventions. With state-of-the-art technology and close collaborations with top maternal-fetal medicine specialists, we are committed to optimizing outcomes for both mother and baby.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Navigator to join our Fetal Center team. This role plays a vital part in coordinating comprehensive fetal, pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care, ensuring seamless communication and support for families navigating complex fetal conditions and interventions.

This role offers a full-time, day shift schedule – Monday-Friday with no weekends or holidays!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate complex fetal care plans, including fetal diagnoses, interventions, and delivery planning, across the continuum of pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum periods.
  • Partner with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, obstetricians, pediatric specialists, and families to develop individualized care plans tailored to fetal and maternal needs.
  • Oversee scheduling and coordination of fetal interventions, in-utero procedures, and post-operative follow-up scans, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
  • Provide education and emotional support to families, explaining procedures, interventions, and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate seamless care transitions from prenatal diagnosis through delivery and postnatal care.
  • Advocate for patients and families, balancing clinical needs with emotional and logistical support, while addressing financial considerations.


Qualifications:

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred. OBED, L&D or antepartum experience preferred.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Specialty certifications may be required per unit/department specialty in accordance with the department provision of care.
  • Requires knowledge of personal computers using various types of word processing and database software.
  • Requires clinical work experience, medical terminology.
  • Requires understanding of medical record requirements, regulations and policies.
