Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and providing high-quality nursing care in various settings, including Assisted living facilities and nursing homes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical history and clinical findings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and emergency interventions.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for patients.
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients.
Skills
The successful candidate will have experience or proficiency in the following areas:
- Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks EMR systems
- Cardiac catheterization, dialysis, IV infusion, and medication administration
- Medical office experience with knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding
- Patient assessment skills with a focus on geriatrics and senior care
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings
- Knowledge of hospice & palliative medicine, acute pain management, and behavioral health
- Proficient in phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge
- Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams
