Position Summary
The role of the Registered Nurse reports to the Operations Manager and Director of Nursing. This position is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the total nursing care of assigned patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation. This position is responsible for delegating to and supervising the job classes of student nurse, ED Tech II, phlebotomists, paramedics, and unit secretaries. If in the role of clinical coordinator will be responsible for delegating to other RNs. This position assists in the orientation of new staff and clinical supervision of EMT, paramedic, and nursing students. This position assists in achieving patient quality of care, national patient safety, regulatory agency, and budgetary goals.

Work Environment: This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation, and communicable disease. This position spends the majority of time standing and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100lbs as well as occasional carrying of up to 25 lbs. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with the majority being adults and geriatrics.
