Major Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate outcomes to deliver safe, high-quality care. You will actively engage patients and families in care planning while building therapeutic relationships across the continuum.
You will anticipate and recognize changes in patient condition, respond quickly, and adjust care plans as needed—mobilizing resources and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate effective, patient-centered care.
You will implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety, reduce risk, and improve outcomes. This includes assessing patient and family readiness to learn and tailoring education to meet individual needs.
You will coordinate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach while consistently applying nursing and regulatory standards into daily practice.
You will evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes and take action to improve care delivery, while participating in shared governance and quality improvement initiatives.
You will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, while assuming a leadership role within the care team and delegating appropriately.
You will promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, reporting safety events, and contributing to actions that prevent patient harm and improve outcomes.
You will apply ethical decision-making, foster respect across disciplines, and contribute to an inclusive, patient-centered care environment.
You will support professional development by participating in education, mentorship, and required competencies.

Licensure & Certification: RN license in applicable state; BLS (AHA) required
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience: Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred

Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling, including assisting with patient transfers. Exposure to clinical environments requiring appropriate protective equipment.
