Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor and Delivery Unit. This role will be part-time night shift 2 x 12-hour shifts per week 7:00 p.m. – 7:00a.m.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities:
- Provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
- Performs thorough patient assessments, interprets data, and identifies care priorities.
- Develops and implements individualized plans of care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluates patient progress, anticipates changes, and adjusts care plans accordingly.
- Coordinates care and discharge planning with the healthcare team and community resources.
- Advocates for patients’ rights and ensures their needs and preferences are respected.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with standards.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines.
- Serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and preceptor to peers and new staff.
Engages in professional growth, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Experience : Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | For Critical Care Units: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Within 6 Months | For Pediatric Units: Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Within 6 Months | For Infusion Center Units: Obtain chemo card- within 3 months of hire
- Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
Preferred Qualifications :
- Two years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) inpatient experience on a Labor and Delivery Unit
