Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour
Status: 1099 Independent Contractor
Hours: 8 hours per week; Wednesdays 9a-5p or 10a-6p

Position Overview:
Cottage Grove Home Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing oversight and clinical care for a 14-year-old female pediatric oncology patient receiving home-based services. This role focuses on assessment, care coordination, caregiver education, and clinical supervision in accordance with the established plan of care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled nursing assessments and ongoing clinical monitoring
• Assess neurologic status, pain control, mobility, and functional changes
• Monitor for complications related to oncology treatment and anticoagulation therapy
• Complete medication reconciliation and provide patient/caregiver education
• Coordinate care with physicians, oncology providers, and agency leadership
• Document all skilled nursing services per agency and regulatory standards
• Communicate changes in condition promptly to the care team

Patient Considerations:
The patient has complex neurologic impairment, spinal pathology with pathologic fractures, chronic nociceptive and neuropathic pain, neurogenic bladder and bowel, and is undergoing oncology treatment, requiring a nurse with strong pediatric and clinical assessment skills.

Qualifications:

• Active Georgia RN license in good standing
• Pediatric, oncology, or medically complex patient experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Current TB screening
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to function independently as a 1099 contractor
• Ability to pass background check and onboarding requirements
