Skills: *Must be able to take heparin drips. PCA. Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management. Blood product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy. PICC line management, IV starts, *Active RN license required. Management of dysrhythmias, O2 Protocol Management, Non-invasive airway management, Peripheral line care/management, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Traumatic Brain injury, ortho trauma, surgucal drains, chest tubes- Emerson/Pleuravac, Nasal Cannula, Oral Suctioning, Tracheostomy Management, Wound care. *Epic documentation experience required.
Certs: BLS
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
ACLS, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Management of drips, CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries

Target Ratios: 1:6-7 (Must be comfortable with these ratios)

Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding
Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend

Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Severe injury to the bones, joints, and/or soft tissue. Traumatic brain injuries. Spine injuries, pain. Neurological trauma/nerve damage (small population). Subdural hematoma.
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
UNIT ORIENTATION: 12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.
SCRUBS: Navy
