How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Clinical Assessment & Planning: Evaluate respiratory insufficiencies to design and implement personalized, diagnosis-based care plans and treatment frequencies.
  • Advanced Modality Management: Execute complex respiratory therapies and manage life-support equipment while meticulously monitoring and documenting patient physiological responses.
  • Outcome-Driven Optimization: Continuously audit clinical practice and medication administration, adjusting protocols based on patient outcomes to ensure peak therapeutic efficacy.
  • Patient Advocacy & Education: Empower patients and families through comprehensive condition education and coordination with community support networks for long-term recovery.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a critical member of the rapid response and resuscitation teams, providing expert intervention during high-pressure code situations.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
