Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a strong background in pulmonary function testing to join a dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will independently manage pulmonary diagnostics, provide high-quality respiratory care, and ensure accurate patient assessments in a clinical setting. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function tests and a range of respiratory therapy procedures
• Independently manage and coordinate daily patient testing schedules
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during all procedures
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate respiratory and pulmonary testing equipment
• Accurately document patient data and test results in the EMR system (Epic preferred)
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnosis and treatment plans
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) preferred
• BLS, ACLS certifications required from AHA
• Proven experience in respiratory therapy and pulmonary function testing
• Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge of pulmonary diagnostics and respiratory care
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently

Important Details:

• 30-week contract position
• Shift is 8 hrs/day (8:30 AM-5 PM), 40 hrs/week
• Location is Carmel, NY 10512
• Pay Range for Locals: $35 - $38.71 per hour
