Registered Respiratory Therapist

This posting is for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) based in Kissimmee, FL, at a Joint Commission-accredited, 404-bed regional medical center serving Osceola County — minutes from Orlando. The hospital operates a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Heart & Vascular Institute, Level II NICU, Pediatric ER, and a freestanding emergency department, reflecting a broad acute care scope.

The role. Working under general supervision, the RRT sets up and administers routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures across all patient age groups. A significant focus of the position is the application and operation of acute care ventilators for both short- and long-term continuous mechanical ventilation. Therapists are expected to function independently and in a self-directed manner when a Team Leader is not present, maintaining accurate department records and entering therapy documentation into the hospital's clinical information system.

What we're looking for.

• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience
• Associate degree from an AMA-approved respiratory care program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active Florida RRT license required — must be in hand at time of hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Schedule. Positions available on days and nights, both with rotating weekend coverage.
