Job Summary:

The Registered Staff Nurse in the Gynecology Department provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care to women with various gynecological conditions and surgical needs. The nurse assists in examinations, procedures, and emergency care while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. Working collaboratively with gynecologists and the healthcare team, the nurse supports patients throughout assessment, treatment, and recovery, maintaining accurate documentation and upholding professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with gynecological conditions.
• Assist in gynecological examinations, diagnostic tests, and minor procedures.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and report changes in patient condition.
• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative care for gynecology surgical patients.
• Support management of gynecological emergencies such as ectopic pregnancy or heavy bleeding.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Communicate effectively with gynecologists, midwives, and the healthcare team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registration: Valid KNMC Registration
• Experience: Minimum 2/3 years of clinical experience.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification.
