Registrar (Part-Time)

Job Description:


The Registrar, plans, directs, and monitors all registrar functions and operations within the NSSI, including student applications and registrations, student records, posting class schedules in NSSI database and Oracle Training Administration (OTA), and graduation certificates for all courses. They verify the registration process and act as a central communication resource for information related to student records management . In addition, they are NSSI's Training Request Quota Identifier (TRQI) manager and are responsible for training accountability of students, including student tracking information.

The Registrar maintains a collaborative working relationship with the faculty and staff to ensure all registration and supporting requirements are articulated and administered per NSSI procedures, and guidelines.

The Registrar also serves as the Learning Management Systems (LMS) Coordinator. The LMS Coordinator works with the LMS Administrator and is responsible for auditing LMS usage, monitoring compliance and data integrity, editing data to ensure accuracy, preparing and creating reports, and ensuring the LMS meets all defined setting and objectives regarding student accounts. Additionally, they perform all LMS tasks in support of the NSSI's distance learning services, including account management performing ongoing system improvements; resolving system issues; assisting learners with troubleshooting issues with access.

Registrar Functions

  • Comply with all of the NSSI's regulations and guidelines governing student registration
  • Build and maintain all NSSI courses in Oracle Training Administration annually
  • Coordinate dissemination of course information and procedures that students are required to follow to register for a course
  • Coordinate with HQ USSF/S3T on SP200 and SP300 rosters; manage all NSSI course roster changes after the initial rosters are provided from HQ USSF/S3T or applicable office HHQ, maintain student rosters, and provide copies to Course Directors (CD) before class start date and as requested
  • Generate and maintain training line numbers (TLN), and track and record student progress in OTA
  • Submit course description, information about funding, reporting instructions, and course completion requirements on the Education and Training Course Announcement (ETCA) website
  • Review course announcements updates/progress on the ETCA website to ensure the data is accurate, current, correct, and complete
  • Track course pre-requisites as required for existing and new courses
  • Attend Academic Affairs weekly meeting; brief leadership on news/issues impacting student registration

Coordinate course attendance with unit training managers, students, Air Reserve Component (ARC), and sister services, coalition partners, and USSPACECOM Agencies
Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree required. Five or more years working in education. Able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $75,000 to $85,000; however, this is a PART-TIME ONLY position. The successful candidate will be paid a commensurate hourly wage. There are no benefits associated with this position. There is the possibility, but no guarantee, that this position could become full-time.
