RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Documentation and Standards Management
- Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of Operations documentation, including policies, manuals, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring adherence to approved templates and style guidelines.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with maintenance and RHSQE standards for consistency and compliance.
- Oversee the development of operational reports, drills, and incident simulation booklets.
- Authorize final document layouts and maintain a consistent tone of voice across all materials.
- Manage the timely updating of documents to reflect operational changes and maintain accurate online records.
- Oversee the proper archiving of outdated documents in accordance with RDMC protocols.
Operational Drills and Trials
- Lead the planning and execution of operational drills and train trial runs.
- Coordinate trial activities, monitor performance, and address operational or functional issues with action plans.
- Ensure proper documentation of all trial and drill outcomes for management review.
Team Leadership and Coordination
- Assign tasks, manage deliverables, and monitor performance of the regulation and documentation team.
- Mentor and develop writers, editors, and team members to ensure high standards of work.
- Ensure the team has the necessary resources and skills within the allocated budget.
- Conduct interviews and validate new staff post-HR process.
Compliance, Audit, and Collaboration
- Support the document control team in ensuring compliance with documentation standards and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with RHSQE to develop standardized umbrella documents for RDMC procedures.
- Manage interface with MNT engineering to release relevant joint documentation.
- Coordinate with RDMC production teams to ensure operational support.
Digital Transformation
- Drive digital initiatives to improve document accessibility and usability across the organization.
Safety Responsibilities
- Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and attend any safety-related meetings or briefings as required within the job role.
- Comply with the requirements of RDMC RQHSE Policy and Safety Management System.
- Be mindful that Safety, Security, and Environmental protection are everyone’s responsibility.
- All staff members are accountable for reporting and intervening in any Safety, Security, or Environmental violations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant discipline, preferably with an engineering background.
- Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
Knowledge:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
Experience:
- 10+ years’ experience in railway operations or a comparable environment.
- Prior experience as an LRT Duty Chief Controller or Transport Supervisor.
