1. Drive membership sales and ensure high engagement through personalized consultations.
As a Relationship Consultant at Virgin Active, your role is to actively acquire new members and ensure they are onboarded effectively. You'll engage prospects in meaningful conversations about their wellness goals, present the Virgin Active offering, and convert them into long-term, loyal members who are motivated to engage regularly with our services.
2. Ensure member retention by cultivating long-term relationships and promoting consistent use of Virgin Active’s facilities and services.
The goal is not just to sign up new members, but also to ensure they remain engaged and actively using the club's services. You'll provide ongoing support to members, encourage them to use the club more frequently, and promote programs that enhance their experience and well-being.
3. Achieve membership and engagement targets to contribute to the overall growth and success of Virgin Active Qatar.
You'll contribute to both individual and team targets for new memberships, but also focus on retention by ensuring that new members are integrated seamlessly into our community and are motivated to attend regularly - aiming for more than two visits per week.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead Generation and Prospecting:
Actively generate leads through inbound inquiries, outbound calls, and community engagement. Establish and nurture relationships with potential members both online and in-person, attending networking events and promoting Virgin Active’s unique social wellness offering.
2. Consultations, Tours, and Sales Presentations:
Conduct one-on-one consultations and club tours to understand prospects' wellness goals and introduce them to Virgin Active's premium offerings. Tailor the sales presentation to highlight how our services—fitness, group classes, wellness programs, and community engagement—support their specific needs.
3. Sales Conversions and Membership Sign-ups:
Drive membership conversions by clearly articulating the benefits of Virgin Active’s holistic wellness approach and social community. Offer tailored membership packages, effectively handle objections, and close the sale while ensuring prospects understand the long-term value of joining.
4. Encourage Engagement and Retention:
Proactively follow up with new members after they’ve signed up. Engage them in their wellness journey, ensuring they are familiar with all the services offered, from group fitness classes to personal training, nutrition workshops, and recovery programs. Keep track of their usage patterns and motivate them to engage with Virgin Active regularly.
5. Promote Additional Services:
Upsell premium services such as personal training, group classes, wellness coaching, and nutrition consultations, aiming to enhance the member’s experience and support them in achieving their wellness goals. Help members see the full value of Virgin Active beyond their membership fee.
6. Track and Report Performance Metrics:
Maintain accurate records of leads, sales, and member engagement. Provide feedback to the Sales Manager on lead generation strategies, member engagement trends, and opportunities for improving retention. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and engagement targets and contribute to the team’s overall success.

1. Sales Conversion Rate and Membership Growth
Achieve monthly membership sales targets, ensuring a high conversion rate of leads to new members. Focus on tailoring membership packages to meet individual wellness needs and drive growth.
2. Member Engagement (Usage Frequency)
Promote consistent member engagement by encouraging new members to attend regularly. Aim for members to visit at least twice per week and actively participate in personal training, group exercise, and social wellness activities.
3. Retention, Member Renewals, and Satisfaction
Ensure high member satisfaction and retention, actively tracking feedback and usage patterns. Work closely with the team to address any issues quickly, ensuring that members renew their memberships and remain engaged in the Virgin Active community for the long term.
