Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Relationship Manager, VP/SVP, to join our Private Bank team. In this key role, you will serve as the primary advisor to entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals, building new long-term relationships while driving strong growth in loans, deposits, and assets under management (AUM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect and acquire new commercial and high-net-worth clients through networking, referrals, centers of influence, and targeted business development efforts.
  • Drive measurable growth by originating and structuring new commercial and investment secured loans, increasing deposit balances, and expanding AUM, by leveraging specialists, through investment and wealth management solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists (e.g., credit, treasury management, wealth management, and trust teams) to deliver holistic, tailored financial solutions.
  • Collect and compile comprehensive financial packages from prospects and clients, including tax returns, financial statements, cash flow projections, net worth statements, and supporting documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy for thorough credit evaluation.
  • Perform basic financial analysis of prospective and existing clients, including cash flow, net worth assessments, debt service coverage calculations, and stress testing to determine viability of proceeding.
  • Partner closely with credit underwriting, loan operations, and risk management teams throughout the credit lifecycle to facilitate efficient processing, resolve documentation issues, coordinate due diligence, and ensure timely execution from application to closing.
  • Prepare detailed term sheets outlining proposed loan structures, pricing, covenants, collateral, repayment terms, and conditions, tailoring them to client needs while adhering to bank policies and risk parameters.
  • Present preflight reviews and formal credit packages to the loan committee, clearly articulate the transaction rationale, risk assessment, mitigants, relationship benefits, and recommendation to secure approval.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or commercial banking with a proven track record of originating loans, growing deposits, and increasing AUM.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, lending products, deposit strategies, and investment solutions for affluent clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales and growth targets.
  • Proficiency in relationship management tools and CRM systems.
