Ignite is currently seeking driven, detail-oriented Release Manager to oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely deployment. Someone with the ability to bridge development, quality assurance, and site reliability teams, manage risks and automate workflows. Key skills include CI/CD knowledge, technical leadership, and strong communication. This position can be filled in Dayton, OH, Huntsville, AL, or St. Louis, MO. Contingent on contract award

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create and manage a release calendar (major, minor, and emergency fixes).
• Work with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, IT) to ensure alignment
• Manage risks to release scope, schedule, and quality.
• Oversee the actual deployment of software updates, often managing non-production environments like sandboxes.
• Ensuring that all software adheres to regulations and standards.
• Responsible for the configuration control of each environment.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, DevSecOps, IT operations, or release/deployment management and strong leadership skills
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or project management role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical field
• Proficiency in SDLC, Agile/DevSecOps methodologies, and automation tools
• Ability to communicate, manage risk, and conduct stakeholder coordination
• US Citizenship
• Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearence

• Certifications:
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)
  • DevOps Institute certifications
  
  

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must have an active TS/SCI Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
