Overview:
The role holder will support the local UK maintenance teams to maximise Asset Reliability, Net and True Efficiency (TE) across all production lines by effectively leading, promoting and introducing analytical problem solving techniques to maximise the overall asset effectiveness & continuously improve the availability/reliability of the equipment to manufacture quality products in a safe and cost effective way.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the site Reliability Strategy (MTBF, MTTR, asset health KPIs).

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for high-impact breakdowns and repeat failures.

Implement proactive reliability tools (FMEA, RCM, lubrication standards, condition monitoring).

Improve PM & PdM programs by optimizing frequencies, methods, and task effectiveness.

Analyse downtime trends and provide weekly/monthly reliability insights for the site leadership.

Own the site’s reliability KPIs including downtime, PM compliance, repeat failures, and predictive maintenance coverage.

Build and maintain asset criticality assessments to drive prioritization of maintenance activities.

Support development of Maintenance Master Data in SAP (task lists, BOMs, FLOC, cycles, durations).

Validate all engineering modifications to ensure they improve long-term reliability.

Lead cross-functional reliability improvement projects with Production, Engineering, and Quality.

Improve spare parts strategy by identifying critical spares and supporting inventory optimization.

Train technicians and operators on basic reliability practices (autonomous care, lubrication, early detection).

Participate in capital projects from design through commissioning to ensure reliability is built in.

Ensure compliance with global engineering standards and audit requirements.

Work closely with planners to improve job plans, work readiness, and overall scheduling efficiency.

Support zero-loss culture by identifying chronic losses and closing reliability gaps.

Create visual dashboards for tracking equipment health and triggering preventive actions.

Ensure safety is embedded in all reliability activities and support incident investigations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering

More than 2 years experience in FMCGs, preferable as Reliability Engineer.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Technical skills demonstrated by a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience with ERP Systems as SAP PM or similar.

Excel & Office package advanced knowledge

Demonstrated ability to interact with Data, SAP, Power Apps and BI, or other dashboards systems (is a plus)

Certification in Facilitating kaizen events or min Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
