Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated independent contractor to function as a Carepatron Analyst. This is a great opportunity for freelancers or self-employed professionals who can dedicate their expertise and time to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Carepatron with a focus on mental health services, clinical workflows, and reporting.
Key Clinical Responsibilities
- Analyze clinical workflows and recommend system improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care.
- Ability to translate desired clinical changes into actionable EHR work items and tasks.
- Demonstrate how clinical best practices are conducted in EHR applications.
- Utilize discrete data and KPI in mental reports to suggest and optimize clinical workflow changes.
- Develop training materials and conduct user training for providers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and behavioral health documentation standards.
Key Application Responsibilities
- Configure and optimize EHR applications related to workflow changes.
- Collaborate with end users to troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Work closely with IT, clinical leaders, and stakeholders to align EHR functionality with organizational goals.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for EHR applications, including responding to help desk tickets and escalations.
- Participate in change management processes and contribute to strategic initiatives related to EHR optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Behavioral Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- EHR specific certifications in relevant modules are desirable.
- Experience working with Epic EHR systems, preferably in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate clinical needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to mental health services, including HIPAA and behavioral health documentation standards.
- Experience in project management, system implementation, or IT support within a healthcare environment is a plus.
- Occasional onsite visits with customers may be required from time to time.
Pay: $50.00 - $90.00 per hour
