Job Description:
Seeking a candidate with a strong background in fire and life safety requirements, particularly with experience in NFPA and QCDD regulations with architectural back ground.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify architectural designs for compliance with NFPA and QCDD fire and life safety regulations.
- Prepare life safety drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Develop and present technical reports, code compliance assessments, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate with clients remotely to gather and understand fire and life safety requirements specific to each project.
- Coordinate virtually with multidisciplinary teams (firefighting, fire alarm, ACMV, etc.) to ensure system integration.
- Ensure all fire and life safety designs comply with applicable local and international codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, QCDD, IFC, IBC).
- Provide remote support during QCDD submission and approval process (when possible, in coordination with local teams).
- Participate in virtual meetings and design reviews with internal teams and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering is an advantage.
- Proven experience working with engineering or architectural consultancies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client interaction skills.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team and coordinate across disciplines.
- Capability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
- Prior GCC experience is required.
