<Responsibilities>

• Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in mathematics, including topics such as addition & subtraction, solving word problems, multiplication, division, algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, differential equations, data structures, and discrete math, etc
• Develop customized lesson plans and curriculum materials that align with each student’s needs and learning goals.
• Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools to enhance instructional effectiveness and engagement.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative assessments and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and confidence-building among learners of all ages.
• Manage classroom or virtual settings efficiently by applying classroom management techniques suitable for different age groups and learning environments.
• Engage students in brain breaks during each session
• Leave feedback at the end of each session with parents, teachers, or adult education coordinators to ensure comprehensive support for each student’s development.
• Create & maintain StepUp for Students account

<Skills>

• Strong knowledge of mathematics topics including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry
• Strong knowledge of state standards
• Experience creating lesson plans & tailoring them to diverse learners
• Proficiency with learning technology platforms and digital tools for remote or hybrid tutoring sessions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children
• Classroom experience or experience working in early childhood education, elementary, or middle school.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple students and tracking progress efficiently.
• Knowledge of special education practices and accommodations to support learners with unique needs.
