About the Role

Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a home-based primary care practice during a maternity leave. This is a fully remote role focused on care coordination, patient communication, and administrative clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient calls, messages, and follow-ups
• Coordinate care (specialists, labs, imaging, home services)
• Assist with medication refills and prior authorizations
• Support chronic care management (CCM) workflows
• Prepare charts, review records, and assist with documentation
• Track labs, imaging, and outstanding orders
• Support scheduling and care plan updates

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant (primary care or geriatrics preferred)
• Strong phone communication and organizational skills
• Experience with EMR systems, Athena Health and/or Spruce experience a plus
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
• Familiarity with Medicare patients and care coordination a plus

Nice to Have

• Experience with home-based primary care
• CCM / AWV workflow familiarity
• Prior remote MA experience

Duration

• Temporary (approx. length: 12 weeks)
