Your Mission

Deliver engaging, interactive remote instruction in Medical Coding and Billing. You’ll guide students through real-world scenarios, preparing them for certification and successful careers in healthcare administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in a virtual classroom using video conferencing and learning management systems (LMS).
• Provide timely feedback, grade assignments, and support student success through digital communication.
• Ensure accurate instruction in coding patient records, insurance claims, and billing procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with coding regulations, Medicare updates, and industry trends.
• Educate students on documentation standards and coding best practices.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve online curriculum and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical coding and billing (5–7 years preferred).
• Certification: CPC/CPB required; CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS preferred.
• Teaching Skills: Experience in online instruction or adult education preferred.
• Knowledge Base: ICD-10, CPT, medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare regulations.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and digital collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles in an online environment.
