ICGH is seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time Psychiatrist to join our clinical team and provide telehealth psychiatric services focused on outpatient SUD and mental health medication management.
Position Overview
The Part-Time/Full-Time Psychiatrist will provide telehealth psychiatric evaluations and medication management for individuals receiving outpatient services for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team that includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, and peer support specialists to support patient recovery and stabilization.
This role offers flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely while helping expand access to treatment for underserved communities across North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments via telehealth
  • Provide ongoing medication management for patients receiving outpatient SUD and behavioral health treatment
  • Support patients receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when clinically appropriate
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure integrated behavioral health care delivery
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation and clinical coordination
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Support recovery-oriented care aligned with ICGH’s mission and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active North Carolina medical license
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
  • Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions preferred
  • Experience with telehealth or outpatient behavioral health settings preferred
  • Commitment to patient-centered, recovery-oriented care
