Job Purpose

The Repair and Maintenance Fishing Supervisor for Intervention Services & Downhole Tools (ISDT) is responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, ensuring efficient maintenance, repair, and quality control of downhole tools including Mills, Stabilizers, and wash pipes. This role provides leadership to R&M Technicians while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence in accordance with Weatherford's guidelines and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ISDT workshop operations based on operational requirements, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for downhole tools and equipment
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to R&M Specialists in specialized welding techniques including tungsten carbide application and 6G position welding
  • Oversee quality control processes for all maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure strict compliance with all HSE policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Implement and monitor quality control standards for all workshop activities
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting for HSE incidents and near-misses
  • Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and radioactive elements
  • Monitor and control operational costs within the workshop
  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure timely delivery of repaired and maintained tools to meet operational schedules
  • Track KPIs related to workshop performance and implement improvements
  • Manage equipment lifecycle to optimize maintenance costs and performance
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the ISDT department
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop innovative solutions
  • Document and standardize best practices across the workshop
  • Promote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing among team members
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop R&M Technician and other workshop personnel
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Identify training needs and coordinate skill development opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment
  • Ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational demands

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Fishing operations within ISDT (Intervention Services & Downhole Tools)
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical diploma or certification preferred
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of downhole tools, maintenance procedures, and fishing operations
  • Leadership: Demonstrated supervisory experience in a technical workshop environment
