This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Repair Center Technician I, GTS is primarily responsible for performing technical tasks in manufacturing operations, including set-up, calibration, rework, and quality testing. You will implement new production processes and modify equipment to enhance cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety.

The Repair Center Technician I, GTS is primarily responsible for performing technical tasks in manufacturing operations, including set-up, calibration, rework, and quality testing. You will implement new production processes and modify equipment to enhance cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Conducting moderate complexity Electro-Mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and repair
- Working from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
- Ability to understand, utilize and build per established documentation meeting full quality/productivity expectations
- Maintaining a high level of productivity coupled while exhibiting Alcon's values & behaviors
- Meeting established/expected time and quality standards for work
- Demonstrating a very strong understanding of established documents, computer applications, and related equipment; assisting with the training of others once trained
- Work Schedule: 9/80 position with a start time of 6AM, end time of 3:30PM (2:30 on Friday) with every other Friday off
Experience
- Prior experience testing, troubleshooting, and/or repairing electromechanical devices
- Experience working with medical devices strongly preferred
- Vocational or Technical certificate
- 3 years of relevant experience
