Repair Engineer

Production Engineer

Objective & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate repair activities across Engineering, Quality, and Production departments.
• Support production by arranging spare parts, tools, and consumables (sand blasting, shot peening media, brazing and welding consumables, coating powders, etc.)per technical specs.
• Ensure implementation of engineering documentation (e.g., RST, OPS, PCD, Forms, WB).
• Estimate repair time and production cost, especially for non-standard or heavy jobs.
• Improve RSTs for standardized repair flow.
• Ensure optimal machine operation and coordinate with Maintenance for uptime and quality.
• Propose and implement improvements in handling systems , workflows, and documentation.
• Lead or support disassembly/assembly and geometrical corrections of components.
• Promote and implement 6S, Lean, and Kaizen methodologies.

Required Competencies

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment (preferably in gas turbines -GE make, aerospace, or heavy industrial sectors)

Technical Knowledge:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs
• Familiarity with international codes and standards
• Knowledge of gas turbine repair processes

Skills:

• Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and leadership abilities
• Team player with a high sense of responsibility and accountability
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
