Replenishment Buyer - Wholesale Foodservice Distribution

Are you a detail-oriented food industry professional looking to transition from the kitchen to the business side? We're seeking a meticulous and persistent Replenishment Buyer to join our team.

Ideal Candidate:

· Former chef or food service professional with purchasing experience. This is not an entry-level position.

· Someone that is extremely detail-oriented with a tenacious approach to problem-solving. You notice small discrepancies before they become big problems.

· Comfortable transitioning to an office environment with systems and spreadsheets.

· Able to maintain focus and enthusiasm when dealing with multiple projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels and daily replenishment processes to support customer service levels
• Analyze sales history, demand trends, and inventory positions
• Place purchase orders and manage vendor lead times and constraints
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve shortages, substitutions, and pricing issues
• Work closely with sales, operations, and warehouse teams
• Identify cost savings, inefficiencies, and inventory risks
• Ensure accuracy between orders, confirmations, and invoices

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in foodservice purchasing or inventory management
• Practical understanding of food products, pack sizes, specifications
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Self-motivated with excellent follow-through and ability to meet deadlines
• Persistence to see issues through to resolution
• Proven problem-solving abilities and results-driven mindset
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptable team player with a high degree of integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)

Desired:

• Prior purchasing experience in the foodservice industry
• Understanding of supply chain management principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
