What We Seek:

The University of New Mexico Foundation is seeking a Research Analyst to provide professional prospect development research in support of the fundraising goals and objectives of the UNM Foundation. This candidate identifies, researches, and assists with database screening initiatives, querying, reporting and analysis & prepares complex reports, briefing products, and business intelligence tools for use by fundraising constituencies, school/college deans, and senior administration. In addition, this position serves as a key partner to fundraisers by providing relevant information to help facilitate strategy development, engagement, and solicitation of prospective and current donors.


What We Require:

This individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. In addition to records maintenance skills, they possess the ability to use a wide range of sources - electronic and otherwise – to complete thorough and accurate research on prospects and donors including accurate capacity ratings on prospects, using all available financial resources and industry standard methods and ranges. The analyst must consider and synthesize data from a wide variety of sources, and creates original, concise, readable, and timely documents in support of fundraisers, both succinct and in-depth research profiles that will assist fundraisers in determining appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. Their work appropriately protects confidential materials in accordance with UNM Foundation policies and procedure and adheres to the ethical statements by the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). In addition, this candidate will contribute to the overall success of the Foundation by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned in the official job description.


The minimum education and experience required:

Baccalaureate degree OR associate degree with three years of experience in a related field.


Compensation Salary Range :

Salary is negotiable.


Note: Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Remote position, with quarterly travel to Albuquerque, NM
  • Weekend and/or availability
  • Office Hours are 8am to 5pm.
