Research and Data Entry Clerk

Columbus Credit Services is hiring a Research & Data Entry Clerk to support our collections and account recovery operations.

This position plays a key role in helping our team locate updated contact information, maintain accurate account records, and support the recovery process through detailed research and data management.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. This individual should enjoy problem-solving, researching information, and working with a high degree of accuracy and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skip tracing to locate updated contact information for consumers
  • Research accounts using databases, public records, and online tools
  • Accurately enter and update account information in internal systems
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Maintain organized and accurate records
  • Assist with inbound calls and route appropriately
  • Process consumer payments when needed
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure account accuracy and compliance
  • Provide general office and administrative support

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous administrative, data entry, or research experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with computers, databases, and multiple systems
  • Ability to research and problem-solve independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
