Research And Development Officer

Location: Printing & Packaging Manufacturing Facility – Multan, Pakistan

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on new raw materials, laminates, inks, coatings, and adhesives for packaging applications.
• Develop and test innovative packaging solutions to meet customer and market requirements.
• Collaborate with QC/QA and Production teams to ensure successful scale-up of new product developments.
• Plan and execute trials and pilot runs for performance evaluation and cost optimization.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation , product specifications, and R&D reports.
• Support in resolving technical customer issues through product improvement or modification.
• Monitor market trends and competitor products to propose innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards in all R&D activities.

Qualification Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Materials Science .
• Experience: 2–4 years of relevant R&D experience, preferably in flexible packaging, printing inks, coatings, or related manufacturing industries .

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of polymers, films, coatings, and adhesives used in packaging.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing and analytical instruments (e.g., tensile tester, FTIR, DSC).
• Proficiency in MS Office ; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
