Research And Development Scientist

This role leads end-to-end product formulation and development across Skin Care, Hair Care, and Oral Care categories, driving innovation, quality, and business impact. It involves managing multiple development projects from concept to commercialisation, ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with vendors and manufacturing teams, and supporting technology transfer through audits and capability assessments. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and deep understanding of global cosmetic standards.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience in the following areas :
• Development of new formulation as per the business demand
• Development of new products with innovative approach –Skin care/hair care/Oral care
• Implementation of the same to business effect
• To be involved in all aspects of product formulation from the initial brief to final sign-off as well as overseeing the manufacture of pilot batches and full-scale production
• Capable of managing multiple projects and work well with deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Develop vendor base to meet cost, quality( manufacturing and product) and innovation requirements
• Must have up-to-date knowledge on global regulation on Cosmetics, toiletries and Soaps.
• Be a self starter and good team player
• Product development audits of various manufacturing facilities to explore the opportunity for manufacturing and coordinate with the sites for smooth transaction of technologies.

Desired Profile :

1. 10 years’ experience in cosmetics and personal care -Skin care/Hair care/Oral care product development / technical function including factory operation

2. Master's Degree preferably in Chemistry
