Research and Writing Associate — Culture Ecology

Part-time, hourly role (approximately 4 hours/week to start). Hybrid, with preference for someone based in or near New Haven; Amherst or Cambridge, MA also possible.

Seeking a thoughtful and intellectually engaged research and writing associate to help develop an interdisciplinary scholarly project in culture ecology, at the intersection of cultural transmission, ecology, evolution, multispecies relations, environmental thought, and conservation.

Initial work will focus on:

• identifying relevant scholars and programs
• checking and expanding literature references
• helping revise a paper for journal submission
• helping refine outreach to relevant scholars and programs
• contributing to the shaping of the broader project

Well suited to a PhD student, postdoc, recent PhD, or similarly qualified candidate with interests in anthropology, ecology, evolution, environmental humanities, multispecies studies, animal behavior, conservation, or related fields.

Especially interested in someone who can serve as a strong editorial and intellectual partner, with the possibility that the role may grow over time.
