The position supports the mission of the Laboratory for Translational Therapeutics to develop innovative strategies for human disease, specifically focusing on controlling immunomodulation to reduce heart and lung fibrosis and utilizing novel CRISPR systems to address bioenergetic deficiencies. Under general supervision, this role performs responsible research work involving the planning, execution, and occasional supervision of projects centered on mammalian cell culture maintenance and molecular cloning workflows in accordance with general plans approved by the supervisor.
