Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $23.35 - $35.51. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

EDUCATION – Required

Bachelors

EXPERIENCE - Preferred

1-2 years in Science/Research - Clinical Research

New grads welcome. 1-2 years research experience preferred.

SKILLS - Required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Proficient in the use of computers and software, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs). Examples: Nurses, LPNs, and Physical Therapists.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise. Examples: patient care providers and laboratory technicians.

OSHA Category 1

Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials.

POSITION & UNIT ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support Clinical Research Operations: Assist with patient recruitment, informed consent, scheduling, and coordination of study visits in compliance with IRB, institutional, and federal regulations.
  • Data Collection and Entry: Gather clinical data directly from patients or electronic health records; conduct observational assessments for low-risk studies; ensure accuracy in data entry.
  • Regulatory Submissions: Prepare and submit IRB applications, amendments, and renewals under the guidance of the study investigator.
  • Specimen Handling: Safely collect, label, process, and ship biospecimens (e.g., blood, tissue) in accordance with regulatory and biosafety requirements.
  • Study Documentation: Maintain organized study files and protocol documents; assist in preparing data and materials for presentations, reports, and publications.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between patients, research staff, and investigators; maintain clear, professional communication with all stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Initiative: Identify and resolve routine issues independently; escalate concerns appropriately; demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Contribute to meeting enrollment targets through participant outreach and implementing recruitment strategies.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training, seminars, and internal education to stay current in clinical research practices.
  • Adaptability and Teamwork: Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule and tasks; proactively assist team members and contribute to a positive, productive research environment.
