UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is hiring for a Research Assistant I/II to join their team of professionals. Under general direction, the Research Assistant will conduct basic and translational research focused on craniofacial skeletal and neuron, as well as cranial suture development. The role involves investigating the molecular mechanisms using advanced genomic and molecular biology techniques. Key responsibilities include handling biological samples, performing laboratory experiments, and managing data collection to support independent and collaborative research projects.
This position is funded by grants that comprise 50% or more of the funding. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of funding for this position. Your employment may end upon the cancellation or discontinuation of the project, program, or funding.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, conducts basic/ translational research which may include animal work and other activities according to research protocol. Research activities may include some or all of the following: handle biological samples, laboratory experiments and activities, and data collection.
