Position: Research Assistant – Zoology / Aquaculture

Minimum Qualification - Must have 2 years experience in animal research.

Eligible Fields:

• Must have Bachelors in Zoology or Aquaculture and Masters in Zoology or Zoology (Biotech) , Aquaculture
• Must be fluent in local language Tamil to work with fish vendors, local aquaculturist and traditional fish veterinarian
• Preferred experience 2-4 years

Not Eligible: B.tech, M.Tech, DMLT, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotech, Ph.D, D.Pharm candidates are not eligible for this role.

Candidates with less than 2 years experience are not eligible for this role.

Must have fluency in Languages :

• Tamil
• English

Work timings: 09:00am - 06:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate and learn while conducting Scientific Regulatory Research/ studies, as per the requirements relevant to your graduation in Zoology.
• Responsible for running multiple experiments simultaneously, you will be entrusted with executing high-quality experiments in accordance with their designated protocols. similar to the experiments in graduation in Zoology.
• Ensure that studies are of the best quality and carried out in an expeditious manner.
• Constantly work towards improving self-competency; effectively maintain the performance improvement activities within the section Zoology.
• Assist the Study Director and subsequently learn to operate the required instruments and machinery for performing the required research work with similarities to graduation in zoology / Aquaculture.
• Assist the study Director in preparing and maintaining the required regulatory zoology / Aquaculture. data.
• Your tasks will encompass various stages, including group setup of animals for experiments, performing daily dosing, performing daily washout and continuous monitoring of the runs, sampling, conducting analytical measurements, and meticulously documenting results in Electronic Lab Notebooks.

Requirement:

• Working within team of other scientists and researchers to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and deliver clear and concise results to the project team as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture
• Being proactive and seeing challenges as opportunities to take responsibility.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with colleagues in R&D, supply operations, and quality to deliver on project milestones as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture.
• Being empowered to rethink existing processes and encourage teammates to do the same.
• Having the agility to handle a task load with some dynamic nature, while working both independently and as a team player.
• Knowledge of conducting animal studies mainly repeated dose studies.
• Should be aware of animal handling and care as per protocol.
• Should be aware of dosing procedure by different routes of animals as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture
• Should be aware of different regulatory requirements for setting up experiments on animal studies as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture
• Should be able to execute studies coordinating with research team as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture
• Should be able to document the findings in advanced software and application platforms.
• Should have experience in working in any accredited laboratories as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture
• Additionally, experience with handling Zebrafish will be preferable as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture

Skills required:

• Experience with batch screening and quality work output as per your Bachelors in Zoology / Aquaculture or Masters in Zoology / Aquaculture
• Flexibility to extend time occasionally to troubleshoot problems, or to meet a pressing deadline.
• Teamwork and collaboration.

9 am - 6 pm (Day Shift only).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
