We design programs and initiatives to provide girls and young women with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed, working towards equity and empowerment in education.
Position Overview:
As a Research Associate at AuratTech, you will play a vital role in advancing evidence-based research and innovation that shape our curriculum, strengthen alumni support systems, and inform the design of AI-integrated learning tools in our Digital Skills Program.
This role is
ideal
for someone who is deeply curious, research-driven, and passionate about applying insights to real-world challenges in gender-inclusive, under-resourced educational settings. You will support the Director of Research in conducting literature reviews, identifying data-backed action points, contextualizing global best practices for local relevance, and initiating research on topics of strategic interest to the organization, including emerging EdTech trends, comparative models, and evolving workforce in digital landscapes.
In addition, you will contribute to grant research and writing efforts by identifying relevant funding opportunities and assisting in the development of strong, evidence-informed proposals.
Key Responsibilities:

Literature Review & Applied Research:

Conduct targeted literature reviews on themes such as EdTech, digital skills development, gendered access to learning, and community-based learning models.

Identify and synthesize actionable insights that can inform AuratTech’s curriculum, pedagogy, and program strategies.

Initiate and present comparative analyses of international and regional models relevant to AuratTech’s mission.

Monitor and report on recent research trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.

Contribute to building a structured, evolving knowledge repository to guide program development and instructional design.
2.
Alumni Placement Market Research:

Conduct market research to track labor market trends, sectoral demand, and digital economy opportunities relevant to the 2025 graduate cohort.

Map freelancing platforms, remote work ecosystems, and sector-specific roles that align with alumni skill sets.

Synthesize findings into practical recommendations for career services, partnerships, and alumni placement initiatives.
3. Digital Literacy & Resource Development

Co-create a foundational digital literacy guide tailored for first-time tech users, including topics such as safe browsing, account security, online communication, and self-learning strategies.

Develop user-friendly guides, walkthroughs, or toolkit for essential software and platforms commonly used by learners and alumni.
4. Curriculum & Intervention Support

Support the design, review, and continuous improvement of AuratTech’s course curricula and well-being interventions.

Identify content gaps, refine learning outcomes, and propose enhancements grounded in research and learner needs.

Assist in designing logic models, evaluation frameworks, and micro-interventions for program effectiveness.

Research global models of AI-enabled learning tools and assist in contextualizing them for AuratTech’s learner profile.
5. Grant Research & Proposal Support

Identify and track relevant grant and funding opportunities aligned with AuratTech’s mission and

focus areas..

Research donor priorities, eligibility criteria, and partnership opportunities to strengthen funding applications.

Support the development of
data-driven narratives, needs assessments, budgets, and impact-focused proposals.

Contribute to drafting, editing, and reviewing proposal documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and persuasiveness.

Maintain a database of funding prospects and submission timelines.
Qualifications & Skills
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience: 1–2 years of relevant research or field experience (academic, professional, or project-based).

Strong skills in literature review, data synthesis, and academic/technical writing.

Familiarity with EdTech, digital literacy, or community-based education models is preferred.

Grant writing experience (concept notes, proposals, funding research) is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with research databases is a plus.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
