The Department of Urology at Wayne State University School of Medicine is accepting applications for a Research Associate. The Research Associate will play a key role in advancing the research and scholarly activities of faculty and resident physicians within the Department of Urology. In addition to supporting ongoing faculty-led research, the Research Associate will independently design, execute, and lead research projects under the mentorship of departmental faculty and collaborative departments. The Research Associate will work primarily with Dr. Kevin Ginsburg (Director of Research) and collaborate closely with Dr. Aron Liaw (Department Chair), as well as other faculty members in the Wayne State University School of Medicine and Karmanos Cancer Institute as appropriate. During this appointment, the Research Associate will primarily be engaged in laboratory-based focused on advancing the understanding of prostate cancer biology and improving patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications:
Enrolled in or graduated from an M.D. or D.O. program. Strong foundation in urology and urologic oncology. Demonstrated experience with clinical and/or basic science research methodologies. Prior experience with data analysis, manuscript preparation, or laboratory research preferred.
