Research Coordinator

This position entails two components consisting of scientific and administrative responsibilities for the Roy lab. Scientifically to independently conduct a variety of sophisticated experiments using a variety of novel techniques and equipment. Responsible for ensuring that the lab experiments are completed to help meet the aims of the protocols while following current guidelines and that lab personnel are compliant with the institutional lab requirements. This position will assist the PI with publications experimental design, and scientific approaches.

He/she will also be presenting data from the experiments at departmental, collaborator, national and regional meetings.

Administratively, this position will encompass supervision of others in the laboratory including trainees (medical students, graduate students, residents, clinical fellows etc). The position will involve handling all logistic consideration to perform experiments including inventory, ordering, biosafety compliance etc.
