Position Overview

The North Texas Medical Research Institute (NTMRI) is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to assist with ongoing and upcoming clinical trials. This role supports study execution from startup through closeout and works closely with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and regulatory bodies.

This position is contract-based and ideal for experienced coordinators seeking flexible project work with an independent clinical research site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of clinical trials at the research site
  • Screen and recruit eligible study participants
  • Conduct informed consent process with study participants
  • Schedule and coordinate study visits
  • Collect and document study data in source documents and EDC systems
  • Maintain regulatory binders and essential study documents
  • Communicate with sponsors, CROs, and IRBs
  • Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA regulations, and study protocols
  • Assist with monitoring visits, audits, and site initiation visits
  • Coordinate laboratory specimens, investigational product accountability, and study procedures

Preferred Study Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

  • Orthopaedic clinical trials
  • Medical device studies
  • Phase II / Phase III drug trials
  • Investigator-initiated studies
  • Registry or observational studies

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of clinical research coordination experience
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Experience with IRB submissions and regulatory documentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or CCRP
  • Experience with EDC systems (Medidata, REDCap, Veeva, etc.)
  • Background in medical, surgical, or orthopaedic clinical trials

Work Location

  • North Texas / Dallas area
  • Combination of on-site and remote work depending on study requirements
