UTHealth Houston's Neurology Department is hiring for a Research Coordinator I to join their team of professionals. As part of a collaborative research team, this role assists with the conduct and coordination of human subjects research, including participant recruitment, informed consent, and data collection through surveys, interviews, and observations. Under supervision, the position supports day‑to‑day study operations by maintaining accurate and confidential research records, organizing and cleaning datasets, and ensuring compliance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and data management standards. The role also contributes to meeting research milestones and deadlines while working closely with a team of clinical trial coordinators to support successful study execution.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with research logistics such as regulatory submissions (e.g., IRB or FDA), preparation for monitoring visits, audits, and inspections, and maintenance of study materials, including investigational products and supplies. The position may support budget preparation, re‑budgeting, invoicing, and expenditure tracking, as well as attend planning meetings to assist departmental leadership. Other duties are performed as assigned in support of ongoing research activities.
