HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy & Behavioral Sciences, is seeking a dedicated Sponsored Funded Professional – Research Coordinator II to support the expanding scope of research within the department. This role is essential for facilitating a more comprehensive and impactful research agenda, specifically managing current and future projects funded by the Alzheimer's Disease Data Initiative (ADDI), Emory University, and the Alzheimer's Association.

Position Summary

As a critical new addition to the team, the Research Coordinator II will manage the execution of complex legal, policy, and ethical research focused on Alzheimer’s disease, neuroscience, and aging. Serving as a central project facilitator, the Coordinator ensures the successful delivery of high-impact research agendas. The incumbent will act as a primary point of contact, overseeing the operational workflows that allow the department to meet the rigorous demands of its expanding research portfolio.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performing data collection and analysis, including developing data collection measures, supporting recruiting efforts, administering data collection measures, collaborating with investigators to analyze scientific data, contribute to manuscript and presentation preparation, and assist with grant writing.
  • Conducting literature reviews in support of grant and manuscript preparation. This will include working with GSU library staff to complete systematic literature reviews in support of research projects that include systematic reviews. Support summary and analysis of literature reviews.
  • Manage grant projects by working with the principal investigator to ensure research tasks are completed within delegated times. Work with the GSU School of Public Health office of sponsored research to facilitate timely submission of grant proposals. Provide administrative support as appropriate, which may include assisting with scheduling and preparing for collaborative meetings
  • Other duties and opportunities assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in assigned research area; or a combination of education and related experience.

Salary : $52,000 - $56,000
