The Research Coordinator III is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities of research studies for the Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology Division. This may include the following: assisting with writing of regulatory documents, including IRB protocols, manual of operations, delegation logs, among other documents; screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants; development of databases for data collection; data collection, documentation, and organization; data quality control activities; creation of study reports and tables for monitoring recruitment, ensuring participant safety, communicating progress to funders, or similar activities; assisting with generation of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts for communication of results.
The Research Coordinator III will also serve as a liaison between participant, investigators within and outside BCM, relevant healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, clinic staff), research personnel (e.g., other research coordinators, regulatory specialists, admirative staff), and other BCM organizations as needed. The position may include travel to other TCH sites (e.g., West Campus, the Woodlands) to conduct research related activities; it may also include work outside typical business hours and on the weekends.
