Under the general and direct supervision of the Project Director and Co-Investigators, the Research Data Analyst will support multiple population and clinical health research projects by conducting statistical analyses, managing datasets, developing reporting systems, and contributing to research documentation. The role emphasizes epidemiologic and biostatistical analysis of longitudinal health data, literature synthesis, data management, and preparation of scientific reports. The individual will support NIH- and foundation-funded research projects focused on HIV, oral health, pediatric and maternal health, and community-based health assessments. Responsibilities include maintaining data systems, ensuring data quality, contributing to analytic plans, preparing summary outputs, and supporting research dissemination.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of research functions, including study protocols, data collection, documentation, and reporting requirements. (Required)
- Applied understanding of statistical methods and research design supporting epidemiologic, clinical, and population‑based studies. (Required)
- Demonstrated skills in statistical analysis, data management, database organization, and data quality assurance to support reproducible research. (Required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow established research protocols. (Required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Required)
- Ability to work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. (Required)
- Commitment to following research integrity standards, reproducibility practices, and laboratory safety protocols. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to use Tableau, R (or an equivalent statistical and programming software) software, which includes data access, data retrieval, data management, data analysis, and data presentation. (Required)
